Helps alleviate the effects of the storm in municipal infrastructure
From Thursday 29 April to 29 May, the deadline will remain open for Provincial and Local Government Island affected by the storm and other natural disasters, apply for grants to offset the damage to its infrastructure and facilities. This reflected in the Royal Decree of the Ministry of Planning Policy which extends the framework of disaster subsidies and a subsequent order on the procedure for processing applications.
On May 29th the deadline for municipalities, County Councils, Town Councils, and Island Councils province autonomous region affected by the storm and other natural disasters submit applications for assistance to mitigate the damage to infrastructure facilities and local ownership. This is an extension of the scope of the law of last March which provided for "urgent measures to alleviate the damage caused by forest fires and other natural disasters in several autonomous communities."
In total, provided a total subsidy of 131.5 million euros with which it may finance up to 50% of projects to repair or replacement of infrastructure, equipment, facilities and services of municipal ownership and Associations as well as distribution networks and reservoirs.
The municipalities eligible for grants are detailed, by provinces and autonomous regions in the annex of Royal Decree published in the Official Gazette of April 23.
In the official journal of the next day the order is given next to develop the award procedure. The management of the procedure is done through a special computer application which can be accessed in the electronic platform of the Ministry of Planning Policy (www.mpt.es). Funding requests will be reviewed by the Sub-delegations and delegations of the Government.
