Grants for activities related to victims of the Civil War and the Franco
On May 7 is the deadline for submission of proposals for grants for activities related to victims of the Civil War and Franco for the year 2011. The call is published in the Official Gazette of April 7.
The total amount for grants, whose purpose is the recovery of historical memory and moral recognition of victims of the Civil War and the Franco regime, amounting to 5,681,000 euros, half of this amount will be directed to subsidize activities inquiry, location, exhumation, identification and reburial of people who disappeared during the war or the subsequent political repression.
The remaining 50% will fund research in historical archives and court installation of plaques and commemorative items, collection and dissemination of oral testimonies of victims, courses, studies, reports or documents, among other activities. The maximum amount per project will be, of 40,000 euros, in some cases and 60,000 euros.
