Municipalities and Ministry of Education will work together in implementing campus of international excellence
Municipalities and Ministry of Education will work together on campus development and implementation of international excellence in Spanish universities. They have stated the President of the FEMP, Pedro Castro, and Secretary General of Universities, Màrius Rubiralta, following a meeting at the headquarters of the FEMP.
The initiative is part of the project to achieve greater connection between the university, the city and the territory for which this interaction occurs closer to these areas.
During the meeting, the President of the FEMP has moved FEMP's commitment to promote collaboration of Spanish cities to contribute to the modernization of universities and their adaptation to respond efficiently to the demands of training required by the new economic model.
Both sides have agreed in advance university infrastructures (schools, research and innovation, university residences for teachers and students, etc..) Which are fully integrated into the city.
Similarly, they stressed the need to adapt the educational pathways, mainly the higher vocational education, to the real demands of the labor market, in coordination with business, science and technology parks, trade unions and their participation as focal aggregates in the Campus of International Excellence.
The terms of cooperation are defined by a specific agreement.
