The FEMP was added to the Europe Day
FEMP has joined throughout the day on May 9 to commemorate the entire continent of "Europe Day", the event that recalls the date that Robert Schuman presented his proposal for an organized Europe live in peace, that proposal, the Schuman declaration was the basis for the creation of the European Union today.
Along with the FEMP, many Spanish municipalities supported this initiative with commemorative events are to emphasize that this date, May 9, is as representative of the Union as may be their anthem, flag and its single currency. The celebration of Europe Day also represents the exaltation of two fundamental values: peace and solidarity, driven by economic and social development and environmental and regional dimensions which are to ensure a quality of living for for all citizens and their rights to liberty and the identity of their peoples.
Currently dumped in Europe in overcoming the economic crisis, the commitment of the FEMP will take shape over the next 20 and 21 June in Palma de Mallorca, with the holding of a Seminar-Policy Committee on recovery channels EU, which will bring together many organizations and institutions
