Approved the Regulations of the Immigration Act
The Council of Ministers has approved by a Royal Decree, the Regulation of the Organic Law of 11 January 2000 on the rights and freedoms of foreigners in Spain and their social integration, after the amendments to the Aliens Act. The new regulation aims to consolidate the model of immigration, organized and connected to the labor market and facilitates collaboration between administrations.
The essay discusses the management mechanisms envisaged in the reform of the Organic Law of 2000 that prompted the government itself and the Parliament recently approved more than a year, and makes effective means to strengthen social cohesion, integration and equal rights and duties. The new regulation responds to the challenges of the migration cycle and completes the transposition of Community legislation on immigration.
