FEDERACION ESPAÑOLA DE MUNICIPIOS Y PROVINCIAS

The Area of Rural Development and Fisheries principally aims at the defence and promotion of the interests of those municipalities integrated in rural areas or areas of scarce population.

To favour this goal, it is a priority task within the Commission of Rural Development and Fisheries to generate permanent debate on the problems of the rural world, bringing forward proposals and initiatives that can contribute towards a response to the needs of Spanish rural municipalities. Moreover, it represents a mode for the participation and representation of these in the FEMP and in State Administration Agencies related to policies of Sustainable Development in Rural Environments
